My Everyday Make-Up Routine

Step one - Base
So I start off by moisturising my face using the Emma Hardie Amazing Face AM/PM Treatment Moisturiser I wait for that to sink into my skin before I apply my Giorgio Armani Luminouis Silk Foundation in the colour 4.0 - or I use 4.5 when I'm a bit more tanned. I use a variety of different brushes to apply my foundation - I generally use the one that's clean!
My favourite brush at the moment to blend out my foundation is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush or I use my beauty blender if I'm having a good skin day. I then apply the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the colour 'Vanilla' under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, chin, forehead and around my nose. To highlight even more under my eyes I use the MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in 'Light Boost'. I blend that out with either a damp beauty blender or the Real Techniques Contour Brush. I set all of that using my Bourjous Healthy Balance powder in the shade '52 Vanille'.

I then go in and start contouring/bronzing my face. At the moment I'm obsessing over the MAC Pro Longwear blush in the shade 'Baby Don't Go'. I find this the perfect contouring shade when I'm slightly more pale. It doesn't come off orange and I can also use it as a bronzer because it's not too grey or ashy. I then go in with blush - I generally decide between two colours MAC blush in the shade 'Gingerly' or 'Melba' which are both matte. 'Melba' is a gorgeous coral-peach shade and 'Gingerly' is a more bronzy shade.

Step two - Eyes
I don't tend to do a lot with my eyes for day-to-day life such as work apart from mascara and brows. When I do decide to make more of an effort I use MAC Fluidline in 'Blacktrack' to create a wing and I've also started using an eyeshadow in the crease such as the Make-Up Geek eyeshadow in 'Creme Brulee' (you can see a full list of swatches on the shades I bought here), then I curl my lashes using the Bella & Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler - I then apply loads of mascara to both top and bottom lashes. I use the Rimmel London Wonder'Full Mascara (the one with the Argan Oil) in 'Extreme Black' first then go in with the L'Oreal Paris Flase Lash Telescopic mascara in 'Magnetic Black' (my holy grail). For my brows I use MAC eyeshadow in the colour 'Wedge' to fill in the sparse bits as I already have them semi-permanently tattooed on - then go over and set them using Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in 'Espresso'.

Step three - Lips
I always use lip balm as I find that my lips get so dry - I tend to use the Carmex lip balm if it's around or anything else that happens to be on my vanity. Not literally anything..I mean any lip balm, of course! On a typical day I don't like to wear too bright of a lip as I don't think I can pull it off that well so I stick to my peachy-nudes. I outline my lips using MAC lipliner in 'Boldly Bare' then fill in the whole lip with the pencil. I then go over the top of that with MAC's 'Pure Zen'. If I'm feeling glossy I'll pop on a little bit of the Dior Addict lipgloss in '343 Spring Ball' which is a perfect shade for Spring/Summer time.. funnily enough.

I wouldn't class this as a 'step' but I finish everything off with a spritz of setting spray. The one I use is the Urban Decay de-slick make-up setting spray as it controls the oil throughout the day. And that my friends is pretty much it. Nothing too extravagant. If I could be bothered to put lashes on I totally would - but nobody got time for that. Especially me when I get up around 9 on the weekends, lay in bed till 10, shower for half an hour and get ready in about an hour. I'm late enough as it is for things - imagine how late I would be if I were to do lashes. Jesus.

I'm hopefully going to start blogging more. Apologies for the lack of posts. Also, please follow my new Instagram account - link here. I'm lacking followers :(.
