So to put the Summer behind us and fully welcome October I thought I would share my September beauty faves from the past month. I did try filming this as a nice introduction to my YouTube channel but it was a massive fail - so have a lengthy post boring you to bits instead. Enjoy!
Essie Nail Polish in 'Sand Tropez' - £7.99. The description of this is a 'sandy beige' type colour, I however find this to be a soft grey/taupe? I really dislike dark nail polishes on me, so when it comes to Autumn/Winter I tend to look for more grey/taupe colours as I feel they translate well all year round. Majority of my clothing is either grey, white or black so this nail colour suits that perfectly. I love how nicely it glides on the nail, definite fave for this season.
Nails Inc. Westminster Bridge Matte Effect Top Coat - £12.00. I recieved this in Septembers Glossybox and instantly tried it on top of 'Sand Tropez'. I fell in love what can I say. Although I'm a little late to the matte nail bandwagon, I'm utterly obsessed. It dries super quick which is the main thing I look for in a top coat. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for.
MAC Lipstick in 'Rebel' - £15.50. Have MAC prices gone up? Completely irrelevant but I'm a little mad about this. I swear when I bought Rebel it was £13? Out of order MAC. Anyway, Rebel is a classic shade, which is why I haven't swatched it. You can see it on this post here if you don't know what it looks like. It's a gorgeous plum-purple with pinky undertones. It's a staple for me throughout Autumn/Winter and it's such an easy colour to wear.
MAC Lip Liner in 'Magenta' - £12.50. I wear MAC Rebel lipstick with Magenta as the liner. You can really use many deep plum or purple shades for Rebel. It will give it a different look depending on what you use. 'Currant' is also a beautiful colour that works well with Rebel. I have found that Magenta is the closest colour to Rebel which is why I use this rather than the darker shades. The two together create a gorgeous colour.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush - £21.99. This comes in the 'Core Collection' but for me it's a must-have brush. Its soft with a large surface area to be able to disperse foundation seamlessly and effortlessly to create a flawless base. It's a lot less compact compared to the 'Expert Face Brush' which I love also, but find takes a lot longer to blend everything out.
L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation - £9.99. I have my on and off month's with this foundation. I either love it or hate it. I have a bit of a tan at the moment due to my trip to Rome so the colour for me at the moment is spot on. My skin is also looking a lot nicer which obviously helps with the overall outcome of the foundation. This lasts me all day with little need to powder, it doesn't cake nor does it come off throughout the day. It looks flawless. I also love that it's a little more forgiving when the colder month's hit, being a more of a satin finish it doesn't cling to dry patches.
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer - £6.49. This eyeliner is for those of you with a steady hand as the applicator isn't the thinnest, but the liner itself is a gorgeous glossy black that doesn't budge. I love creating my cat-eye with this as it just glides on leaving the most pigmented colour.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum - £68.00 for 50ml at House of Fraser. My perfume collection is sparse. I have one perfume on the go at a time, that's the way I've always done it. This perfume isn't very autumnal but it's gorgeous non-the-less. I had to include it in my favourites because it has been my favourite for the past two months, and so far I'm not bored of it. I've also had loads of compliments when wearing this, so that's also another reason to include it!
