September Beauty Favourites

Monday, 29 September 2014

Is there not a way we can slow down time or stop it altogether? Let's bring back Bernard's Watch (90's kids will know) but for real this time! October is quickly dawning on us, autumn is here, berry, copper, red tones and metallics are back, and it's quickly becoming that time of year when Starbuck's bring out their Christmasy drinks. Make. It. Stop.

All About My Brows | Semi-Permanent Addition

Monday, 22 September 2014
This post is dedicated entirely to my brows - yes my brows. Not in the sense that I am particularly proud of my brows but let me ramble on to you why you shouldn't make the same mistakes as me..

When I was younger (still young, just my excuse) I like(d) to make mistakes. I liked to get permanent things imprinted on my skin - tattoos. At the tender age of 16 I got my first tattoo, the only tattoo I regret and am currently in the process of removing. What.A.Nutter. Yes. Not recommended in the slightest, but I thought I was cool. This is where it all started.

Rimmel Scandaleyes & Velour Lashes

Wednesday, 10 September 2014
You may remember if you follow me on social media and saw my Ardell Demi Wispies post I was seriously complaining about not being able to find the 'perfect' lashes. Well, I took a hit, emptied my bank balance (not literally) and treated myself to the Velour Lashes in 'Strike a Pose' - $35. I never wanted to spend so much on lashes but I was attending a wedding and had heard so many amazing reviews that I just had to. I bought these ones after seeing Jaclyn Hill's YouTube video of her using them in her bridal tutorial and instantly fell in love. I've come to the conclusion that tapered eyelashes such as the Ardell Demi Wispies don't suit me and I need a full lash that's consistent in length through the middle.

They completely open up my eyes and transform any look into something truly glamorous. I've only worn these a couple of times so don't know how long these do last, however they claim you can wear them for up to 25 times providing you care for them correctly. I wore these with my Duo lash glue for a number of 15 hours on the wedding day (party nutta and also not recommended) but they felt so comfortable on the lash and stayed put throughout with no need to top up my glue. No drunken attempts at trying to reapply lashes in the dark toilets. Magic.

Starting a YouTube Channel?!

Friday, 5 September 2014
It has definitely been something I've wanted to do for a long time, yet haven't had the confidence to post the videos. I feel that blogging and YouTube come as a package and I want to be able to express myself further and let you get to know me a little more. Let me tell you now, they won't be amazing quality to start but I will get there slowly, please bare with me for the time being.

I want ideas!! Leave me comments below on what you want to see from me and I will do my best to get them done for you. You can subscribe with the button in the sidebar so you don't miss a thing and I will obviously keep you updated through here and on my social media sites, so if you don't follow me on them make sure you are.

I have a lovely friend who blogs also: Megan, who I have spoken to and she is also planning on setting up a channel where we thought we could do some collab videos so leave those ideas below if you want to see some from us! Thank you for all your support and welcoming me into the blogging world. I'm still a newbie so I still make mistakes but that's what makes us human!

Make Up Rumours | Review

Monday, 1 September 2014
I'd heard of Make Up Rumours via Twitter and when they were looking for beauty bloggers I jumped at the chance. I was sent some products to review and I also bought a few products to add to the collection just so I could show you more, I can't remember what was sent and what I bought but the total is around £18 and that includes P&P.

Make Up Rumours is an online retailer for Pink Cosmetics London Ltd who provide a huge range of make up products from just £1. All of you girls who are on a budget then listen up! Stay till the end for a cheeky voucher code too.

Pink Tease Pressed Powder - Nude* - £1.00 this shade is slightly too light for me at the moment but for a light dusting just to set foundation it does the job as a powder would. They have 3 colours, although they don't differ much in colour. The texture is a little chalky when I swatched it here however when applied to the face on a brush it's fine, although there is a fair bit of fall out. But can you really go wrong with a £1.00 pressed powder? I just have this in my make up bag I carry around with me for top ups during the day and I have no worry of it breaking.
