So what is Skinade? Skinade is a 150ml uniquely formulated drink that is designed to help improve your skin. It works from the inside out (hence 'better skin from within') to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, boost natural levels of hydration and to rebuild and enhance the collagen structure in your skin's surface. Loss of collagen leads to the result of fine lines, wrinkles and is the main culprit of sagging skin, Skinade works to help diminish these effects of normal ageing signs to give you a more youthful looking appearance.
The sciencey bit... Your skin is the largest organ in the human body, and due to the exposure of the environment you are in it is the first tell tale sign of your age and lifestyle. From the age of 20, we lose 1% of collagen from our skin each year. The result of this is wrinkles, sagging, dry, blemished and thinning skin. Scary right?
So, the benefits you will see:
How to take: I take my Skinade every morning around 8:30am. I read it was best to take it in the morning and I've stuck to it and kept it in my morning routine.
The taste: The taste is umm acquired. I can't say I like it that much but for 150ml of goodness I down it (sounds attractive, lad) and it's gone..
Now onto my bit - phewwww. OK, don't get me wrong I was sceptical at first about this product. I mean I'm only 20 and I do not have any wrinkles or fine lines at the moment (thank god) so what could it actually do for me?! Well, I first saw this on Instagram.. the beautiful Millie Mackintosh had posted a picture of it and it got me intrigued. I hadn't started my blog at this point and I kind of left it at that. I then started my blog and I also started feeling a bit under the weather with my skin. It was getting towards summer and it just looked dull. I started researching Skinade and reading reviews and thought I would try it. I got the 20 day supply with the 5 free (offer on website). It was expensive and it was a slight impulse buy, but boy am I glad I've tried this! I literally do not know what I'm going to do when I run out!
I don't have bad skin, I very rarely breakout or have many issues with it. I have combination skin, very oily t-zone and some dry patches on my cheeks. It's not too bad. But it was looking dull. I'm such a creature of habit that in fact I hadn't had a skincare routine for the best part of 4 years. I washed my face occasionally with things but never did I actually do it all. I thought I needed to break that habit and do something about it. I had really bad pores on my nose, quite a few blackheads and I just felt so uncomfortable with it, I also had a lot of under the skin spots on my chin and forehead recently and I just wanted to get rid. I started Skinade about 2 weeks ago along with my new skincare routine and the results I've had are amazing. My skin looks so good, all the unevenness has gone, the dryness has gone, the oilyness is reduced to a good balance of natural oils and my pores have almost disappeared. My skin is so smooth I just have to touch it all the time. Make-up applies so smoothly and actually lasts all day instead of slipping off or clinging to those unsightly dry bits. I know that I've also started a new skincare routine and that could even be the result of my skin but for it to happen so quick? I don't think so, and when I eventually run out (god forbid) I guess we will see how much it did effect my skin. But for now I am so happy with how it's all working out. I can't rave about it enough.
Please be advised ladies (or gents) that it is for 18 years or over.. for my younger readers you DO NOT need this, embrace your youthful looking skin and flaunt whatever you got.
Have any of you tried Skinade? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! I hope this helps some of you and also those who haven't heard of it before..
