Hi dolls. So if you follow me on Instagram you will of seen the photo I posted that I am now the proud owner of LipVoltage! A lot of you may of heard about this before, as there was a lot of hype from it over Instagram. I've recently jumped on the bandwagon after searching high and low for it! I managed to find it on eBay, although more expensive on there I just had to get it and try it out. The reason for getting this was because I want lip fillers, although my lips aren't thin I've always wanted them fuller. I thought this would be the perfect thing to see what I'd look like with larger lips. It claims to last for 6 months if used frequently, but it all depends on how well you can cope with the pain of using it frequently haha!
So it comes in two seperate products, the lip gloss and the plumping solution (the stuff that hurts!). There are 3 intensities.. 1 drop = 'Low Voltage' 2 drops = 'Medium Voltage' and 3 drops = 'High Voltage'. You apply the drops directly into the lip gloss and mix around for about 20 seconds. I only used 2 drops, purely because I wanted to see results but wasn't quite brave enough to go the full whack! You then apply the gloss to your lips - it says on the cupid's bow for maximum effect but I went all in and used it all over! To start with I was like 'this doesn't hurt at all, what are people on about?!'.. then it hit and I was like crying! Not crying on purpose but my eyes just streamed haha! I then walked around with my lips parted and dribbling for the first 10 minutes! I'm sort of used to it now - I say sort of but not really. I can't describe the feeling but it's like having a really REALLY HOT chilli rubbed into your lips and it staying there for 20 minutes!
Make sure though ladies once you've mixed in drops that lasts 2-3 days so don't add anymore drops in until then!
This is my before, not tiny but could be better...
These are my afters, as you can see there is a definite improvement on the lips and they are looking fuller - and that is with just two drops!
My lips did get a bit red when I applied this but that fades after about 30 minutes. It didn't dry out my lips at all as the gloss keeps it moisturised. But if you find your lips are dry just apply a little bit of vaseline or something on there as and when you need to and that should to the trick! I wouldn't recommend exfoliating your lips though as this could aggrevate it and be more painful than it already is! Just make sure that your lips are clean and dry!
I would definitely recommend this product to people, especially those who are looking at getting lip fillers but aren't ready to commit just yet. Just be warned it does hurt.
I hope this has helped you making a decision whether to purchase or not, just make sure it's an actual stockist of the product.
Let me know what you guys think and your opinions on the product!
Lots of love xo
